System Engineer

Job Purposes

Control overall operations of managing, resolving, and maintaining IT infrastructure system and network security, including monitoring execution of LAN and WAN system and other relevant programs to support the daily operations effectively following the policy of information and system security to align with organization’s goals and objectives

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all infrastructure and system installations, including configurations, testing, and maintenance
• Implement and maintain backups, security, and redundancy strategies
• Identify potential issues and integrate possible solutions
• Craft custom scripts, reducing requirement of human interaction
• Enable faster and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful
• Engage with upper management regularly with reports on project status, activities, and achievements
• Communicate with stakeholders to identify what they want a system to accomplish
• Use expert-level administration and optimization of hosts and servers to ensure high availability and appropriate resource management
• Standardize and automate processes and monitoring using scripting technology
• Install and configure operating systems, software, and hardware components, and clearly document the design, maintenance, and support procedures for routine tasks to leverage IT support staff

Qualifications

• Degree in Technology or Computer Engineering, Science, or a similar field
• At least 3 years of experience of Windows Unix/Linux system administration
• Experience with or knowledge of operating systems, server & storge technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, system performance-monitoring tools, active directories, virtualization, HTTP traffic, content delivery, and caching.
• Experience in project management, application design and integration, and cloud computing specifically Microsoft Azure.
• Expertise in creating, analyzing, and repairing large-scale distributed systems
• Professional certifications preferred
• Troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Project management & Client management skills
