Product Development Management 1

Job Purposes

Participate in establishing strategies and processes for own brand product development, including monitoring overall operations and operating cost, to optimize sales, gross margin, inventory planning and management and cost control to maximize sales and profitability in line with the organizational objectives

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Participate in setting and developing policies, strategies, plans, and processes for product development to drive market share, support the brand image and objectives, along with achieve and exceed sales, productivity and profitability
  • Plan, initiate and direct researching for new market trends to gain a competitive edge on other designs and increase sale volume
  • Oversee product development performance and profit closely and take commercial decisions to support both short-term tactics and long-term strategy
  • Test and monitor new and innovative ways to bring products to targeted market
  • Participate in implementation of a clearly defined process from pre-season analysis, planning and buying to in-season allocation and execution
  • Communicate and deal with complaints or needs from customers to analyze and gain a vision to satisfy the expectation in term of products
  • Liaise with buyers, engineers, and related functions to create rough specifications of new products


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in related field and 3-5 years of team management
  • Have knowledge about industrial design or engineering 
  • Have communication skills – verbal and written
  • Have computer skills, especially designing software applications
  • Be able to coordinate
  • Have planning and analytical skills
  • Be creative
