Land/Site Acquisition Team Leader 2
Job Purposes
Manage and implement policy and direction development for the operations of land and site acquisition, including finding, acquiring and prioritizing land acquisitions, managing land purchases, and participating in the coordination of land acquisition packages to seek land in areas and price ranges consistent with the department goals, in order to optimize the return on investment and minimizing risk to the company
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage overall operations of land and site acquisition, including researching available land and utilizing geographic information system to locate and track land development opportunities
- Participate in analyzing data to set up annual budget and directions of land and site acquisition operations to provide mutual understanding throughout the organization
- Evaluate and participate in making decision for best prices and terms on property to conform to business plans and financial objectives
- Negotiate land purchase contracts and review with outside law firm and in-house counsel to manage entitlement process
- Coordinate with internal and external, including brokers, to bring acquisition opportunities as needed and support business plans
- Monitor accumulating all pertinent data and preparing report for potential acquisitions per company procedure
- Take care and advise land and site acquisition officers and managers to ensure effective performance and promotion preparation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in related field and 1-3 years of team management
- Understands market and industry trends
- Have land negotiation and contract skills
- Have strong analytical skills
- Have communication skills, both verbal and written
- Be able to make decisions
