Head of Hotel Operations and Development

Responsibilities;

1. Strategic Leadership & Business Alignment

 

  • Develop and execute operational and development strategies in line with the group’s hotel business direction.
  • Translate corporate goals into clear action plans for operations, development, and asset performance.
  • Provide strategic input to the Head of Hotel Business and Executive Committee.

 

2. Hotel Operations Oversight

 

  • Oversee operational performance of both managed and branded hotels to ensure service excellence and profitability.
  • Review key operating indicators (GOP, RevPAR, guest satisfaction, cost control, etc.) and recommend improvement plans.
  • Work closely with General Managers and Cluster Heads to ensure alignment with brand standards and financial targets.

 

3. Development & Expansion

 

  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate new hotel development and management opportunities (both third-party and owned).
  • Lead feasibility studies, financial analysis, and due diligence for new projects or rebranding opportunities.
  • Collaborate with investors, owners, and development partners to expand the hotel portfolio.

 

4. Brand Management & Operator Relations

 

  • Oversee relationships with hotel operators and brand partners to ensure alignment with group objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of hotel management agreements (HMAs) and franchise contracts.
  • Drive development and positioning of the group’s own hotel brand(s) for growth and market differentiation.

 

5. Financial & Asset Performance

 

  • Monitor property-level P&L and ensure strong asset returns through operational efficiency and revenue management.
  • Support annual business planning, budgeting, and capital investment planning.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance long-term asset value.

 

6. People Leadership & Development

 

  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team (Operations, Development, and Technical Services).
  • Foster a high-performance culture with focus on collaboration, agility, and service excellence.

 

7. Governance & Compliance

 

  • Ensure operational compliance with legal, safety, and brand standards.
  • Implement governance frameworks and risk management protocols for sustainable business operations.
