GM Trainee

Job Purposes

Participate in setting up plans, strategies, and policies for property management in areas under responsibility, including facilities management, leasing, and new location seeking, following the standards to meet company’s expansion plan effectively, aligning with organization’s goals and objectives

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Business Strategy & Financial Performance
- Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue, profitability, and sustainable growth.
- Analyze business performance, market trends, and competitors to identify opportunities.
- Manage budgets, operating expenses, and investment efficiency.

2. Leasing, Tenant Mix & Commercial Performance
- Partner with Leasing to optimize tenant mix, brand positioning, and competitiveness.
- Drive tenant sales through joint business initiatives and tenant engagement.
- Improve rental income, occupancy, and commercial productivity.

3. Marketing, Customer Experience & Traffic Growth
- Increase customer traffic, attract target segments, and strengthen engagement.
- Partner with Marketing to create compelling reasons to visit and strengthen market positioning.
- Enhance customer experience, service quality, and the shopping environment.

4. Operational Excellence & Asset Management
- Oversee mall operations, facilities, safety, security, and service standards.
- Improve efficiency, optimize costs, and drive asset enhancements.
- Ensure business continuity, regulatory compliance, and effective crisis management.

5. People Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and develop high-performing, cross-functional teams.
- Build collaboration, accountability, and a performance-driven culture.
- Maintain strong relationships with tenants, business partners, and key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in retail, shopping malls, commercial real estate, hospitality, or other customer-focused businesses.
• At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong leadership potential, business acumen, and commercial mindset.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to analyze financial performance and translate business insights into actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• High learning agility, adaptability, and readiness to take on broader business responsibilities
